How does mascot costume hire work?+
Browse our catalogue, pick your mascot(s), choose your pickup and return dates, and book online. You pay the hire fee upfront and a refundable security bond hold is placed 3 days before pickup. Collect the costume from Windsor or Bald Hills, use it for your event, then return it.
Where do I pick up the costume?+
We have two pickup locations in Brisbane: Windsor QLD and Bald Hills QLD. You choose your preferred location when booking. Both are available 6 AM – 9 PM on your pickup day.
How much does mascot hire cost?+
Hire prices vary by character and start from $100. Most costumes hire for $100–$200 with a refundable security bond of $100. Prices can vary by day of the week and availability — you'll see the exact price for your chosen dates during checkout.
What is the security bond?+
The bond is a temporary hold (not a charge) placed on your card 3 days before pickup. It is released automatically within 7 business days of return, provided the costume comes back in the same condition. The bond covers damage beyond normal wear and tear.
How long can I hire a mascot for?+
The base hire runs from your pickup day to the following Wednesday. You can extend weekly — additional weeks are $100 per mascot per week. Your return date is selected at checkout.
What sizes do the costumes come in?+
Most of our standard mascot costumes suit wearers 150–190 cm tall. Inflatable costumes are air-conditioned and suit wearers 150–170 cm. We recommend a slender build for some characters — this is noted on each character's page. Check the fit guide on the character listing before booking.
Can I hire multiple mascots at once?+
Yes! Add as many mascots to your cart as you like. Each is priced individually. Multi-mascot bookings are great for larger events.
How long can someone wear the mascot costume?+
For comfort and safety we recommend 30-minute wear sessions indoors and 20 minutes outdoors in the heat. Take breaks in a cool area. Never wear the costume in rain or near water, food, or glitter.
Do I need a handler?+
A costume handler (someone to guide and assist the wearer) is strongly recommended, especially at children's events. The wearer's visibility is limited inside the costume.
What happens if the costume is damaged?+
Report any damage at return. Minor staining or tears may result in partial or full bond capture. Severe damage beyond the bond value may incur additional charges. We inspect every costume thoroughly at return.
Can I cancel my booking?+
Our hire fee is non-refundable once paid. If you need to change your dates or swap to a different character, contact us as soon as possible — swaps are available subject to availability and a 5% admin fee.
Do you service the Gold Coast or Sunshine Coast?+
Our pickup locations are in Brisbane (Windsor and Bald Hills). Customers from the Gold Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redland City, and Moreton Bay are welcome to travel to us for pickup — many do!
Are inflatable costumes air-conditioned?+
Yes! Inflatable mascot costumes have a built-in fan that circulates air, making them much more comfortable in Brisbane's heat compared to standard fur costumes. The trade-off is a slight noise from the fan.
Do I need an account to book?+
No — guest checkout is available. Creating an account lets you view your orders and track your booking status online.
